Bergamasco puppies need early socialization to people, places, sounds, and new experiences in order to develop into confident, stable adults. Before bringing home a puppy, we encourage prospective owners to spend time learning about the breed and, if possible, meeting a Bergamasco in person.
If you are interested in a puppy or would like to learn more, please visit the BSAC Breeders page for referrals to breeders who are committed to responsible and ethical breeding practices.
Because the Bergamasco is still a rare breed, puppies may not always be immediately available. Prospective owners should be prepared to wait for the right litter and to spend time speaking with breeders about temperament, lifestyle fit, and long-term expectations.
